Black Range Minerals Limited (BLR) is an Australian Securities Exchange-listed company focused on growth through acquisition, exploration and development of uranium projects. BLR is currently advancing the high-grade Hansen/Taylor Ranch Uranium Project, located northwest of Cañon City, Colorado, USA, toward production.

BLR controls 100% of the Hansen/Taylor Ranch Uranium Project, which encompasses more than 13,500 acres. The vast majority of these mineral rights have been secured under four lease and option agreements with surface landowners, together with several State and Federal leases. The Project contains JORC Code-compliant indicated and inferred resources of more than 90.9 million pounds U₃O₈ at a very robust grade of 0.06% U₃O₈, making it one of the largest uranium projects within the USA.

BLR has assembled a highly reputable team of US-based experts to guide the Hansen Project through the mine permitting process. These team members have a solid track record in preparing high-quality permitting documents and in conducting comprehensive and successful public outreach. BLR is targeting completion of permitting activities by the second quarter of 2015, with production targeted in the second quarter of 2016.

The Hansen Project was initially evaluated by Cyprus Mines Corporation in the late 1970s and early 1980s. After a full feasibility study, Cyprus concluded that the Project was economically viable; however, the Project was never brought to production due to the collapse of the uranium price. As permitting activities move forward, BLR is simultaneously undertaking a pre-feasibility study (PFS) to determine which mining method will be most cost-effective.

Wherever practical, BLR seeks to utilise mining technologies that are both environmentally sensitive and economically viable by identifying and evaluating new technologies, and by embracing innovation in existing technologies. The Company is currently working with strategic partners who will assist in the development of a mining program that meets these goals, participate in the PFS analysis of the Project, and help communicate the results to all stakeholders.

BLR continues to assess other investment opportunities, including the acquisition of additional quality projects in the resources sector, with a particular focus on uranium.
